Unreinforced masonry structures are susceptible to man-made hazards such as impact and blast loading. However, the literature on this subject mainly focuses wall behavior, there is a knowledge gap about behavior of arches under high-strain In context, research aims investigate both quasistatic response dry-joint stone arch using discrete element method. Rigid blocks with noncohesive joint models adopted simulate assemblages. First, employed modeling strategy validated utilizing available experimental findings, then sensitivity analyses performed for static loading, considering effect friction angle, contact stiffness, damping parameters. The outcomes strengthen existing in regarding computational that subjected usual extreme loading conditions. results highlight applied discontinuum-based numerical more sensitive stiffness parameters than analysis.
